Our story

Built by people who live in apartments too

FlatSe was born out of genuine frustration with how apartment societies communicate. We're not outsiders guessing what communities need—we're residents who decided to build what we wished existed.

How it all started

The frustration

Living in a 200-flat society in Bangalore, watching important AGM notices get lost in a WhatsApp group filled with festival forwards and parking arguments.

The observation

Every society we spoke to—across India and Dubai—faced the same issues. Committees struggled to reach residents. Residents felt out of the loop. Nobody was happy.

The realisation

Full ERP suites were too heavy for most societies. What they needed was simpler: a digital notice board that actually works, a help-desk that tracks issues, and a poll system that includes everyone.

FlatSe is born

We built FlatSe around one principle: if your society communication tool adds noise, it's no better than the WhatsApp group it replaced. So we made it calm, clear, and deliberately simple.

Our mission

Make apartment communities feel connected, not overwhelmed

We believe that the 50–400 families sharing a building deserve a communication tool that respects their time and attention. Not every update needs to be urgent. Not every decision needs a heated debate.

FlatSe exists to bring order and clarity to the daily rhythm of apartment societies—the notices, the events, the decisions, the complaints—so that everyone from Flat 101 to the penthouse stays informed without feeling bombarded.

What guides every decision we make

Four principles that shape everything from our UI choices to how we handle data.

🔍

Clarity

Every screen, every notification, every message should be instantly understandable. If a resident has to guess what something means, we've failed.

🌿

Calm

Technology should reduce stress, not add to it. No notification spam, no engagement tricks, no gamification of community life.

🎛️

Control

Committees control what gets published. Residents control what they see. Everyone controls their own notification preferences.

🔒

Privacy

Society data belongs to the society. We don't sell resident data, show ads, or share information outside your community.
